Woah, slow down there Speed Racer. 2 journals in less than a week? :P

I am able to open Photoshop without my laptop blowing up on me, so I'm going to fiddle around and practice and see if I can churn out relatively suitable art for uploading. I know it probably won't look as well as I want it to, but I'm going to work hard while also trying not to be super critical of myself. I have to just keep practicing to get my skillz up! Unfortunately, I didn't have the foresight to pull my tablet and pen aside before moving, so that is packed with my desktop until...well, just until.

I also thought I'd share a couple of random things. I accidentally swallowed a portion of my tongue ring the night before New Years Eve. I didn't have any replacements with me, and I threw away the rest of it in anger. In hindsight, I should have kept the barbell and popped it in daily so that when I got new ones, it wouldn't be so difficult to get back in. And it was. My husband bought me some new ones for my birthday, and it took me a week of working at it to get one through.

I ended up changing my hair from the last photos there are of me on here. I really liked that style, but I wanted to try something else (I love changing my hair!) Right now I have actually cut it pretty short and colored it a chocolatey sort of brown, very similar to my natural color. I'm not going to keep it short though, because I'm partial to longer hair. So, trims aside, I won't be cutting it for a while. Between those two, I finally got blue hair I'd been thinking about for forever!

I LOVED my blue hair (it had a little black underneath it). I will be getting it again, I just wasn't comfortable bleaching my hair while being pregnant. My hair stands up really well to bleaching and multiple colorings too, so that's exciting. My hair stylist had said she'd never seen hair so soft after a bleaching; like it hadn't even been done! AND it stayed looking the same for a month and a half without fading. :D

Well, that's all for now, I don't want to ramble on. Perhaps more random updates from the past year in the next journal. ^-^

I Live!

2 min read
Been a long time since my last update, but I figured I'd shoot one out to let everyone know that I still exist. I apologize for my lack of anything this past year; it's been crazy.

I'm currently going through all of my notifications, because I'm stubborn and don't want to just delete all my stacks and miss some epic piece of art from someone I follow or something.

It is also inspiring me to create, but I only have my laptop right now (desktop is in storage due to moving and we haven't nailed down a permanent home yet) and I don't know if it can handle me opening Photoshop and trying to do stuff on it. I may chance it here soon though. Once we get our house and our belongings, I am hoping to be able to be more creatively active on here. Though, I am considering that I will have lots of unpacking and organizing to do once that happens, AND I am due to give birth in the middle of May, so that adjustment will definitely factor in to my free time, at least until everything gets situated and some resemblance of a routine gets going.

Sub ran out. Pretty bummed about that and miss it, but can't afford to get one right now. Down the road, I suppose!

For my dear watchers who are still with me, what's up with you?

First of all, I would like to again thank and welcome all of my new watchers that I've recently gained. Some of you, I am fairly certain, began watching me because of some of my recent photos. I think it is only fair to let you know that those are not my usual uploads. I primarily categorize myself as a photomanipulator with occasional photo uploadsand I've only had one photography session with myself being the model like that. So, there is that. If you want to stick around and see the other art I like to do, thanks! If not, I understand.

On the note of photomanips, I am feeling pretty inspired. I've recently made it through ALL of the notifications I had (two journals ago the number is listed. Over 2k something, I think?) and seeing other people's art and looking at the stock and - I just have so many ideas! I really would like to get back into the swing of it and make much more art this year than I did last year. I admit I am likely to have some rather shoddy bits in some manips as I am out of practice once again, but I am confident that I will get back in the groove.

"450 Badges sent, 180 Badges received" - this is on my badge activity. WHAT KIND OF MESSED UP MESS IS THAT. I'm obviously very generous and others are not. :P Lol, totally kidding, but the numbers did surprise me.

I am interested in seeing Gangster Squad, I think - anybody seen it yet?

I love reading. I currently have a HUGE backlogged list of books I want to/need to read. I love my books that I own - they are all actual copies. NO KINDLE FOR ME! :P I love the smell of book pages and the feel of the covers and ahhhh. I also like to protect my books, in a sense. SO, when my youngest daughter ripped the cover off of a book that I had BORROWED from someone...yeah, that sucked. I had been reading, sat it down for a quick restroom run and came back and she had it. I felt bad and just nooooooo. But I have purchased a new book for said owner, because there was no way I could just return her book with a ripped off cover and be like. "Oops." -_-

I will be moving sometime in the next month! CRAZY. We'll have a mini 30 day or so vacation that will be spent seeing family and friends we haven't seen in three years before we head to our new home, so that will be nice.

Told you this journal was random.

Go check out this journal and read it, go to the site linked there, and search your user name. You probably have some stolen art up there. I do. >:(
